Mt Laurel is home to a private 11-acre lake, Spoonwood Mountain Lake. Fully stocked for fishing, homeowners can cast a line in the mornings and enjoy the serene beauty of the quiet surroundings. Kayaking, canoeing, and paddle boarding are popular pastimes. There is also a sandy beach and swim area, making it an ideal location for a family picnic.

Hiking Trails

Mt Laurel’s private hiking trails center around Spoonwood Mountain Lake. The Lake Loop features beautiful views, a variety of fitness stations, and a yoga deck. Throughout the community, you’ll find tucked away walking paths and distinctive stone cairns guiding your way.

Parks and Greenspaces

Respecting nature is one of Mt Laurel’s core values, so parks and greenspaces are plentiful here. Only steps from the Town Center, Olmsted Park & Playground offers a spacious, flat greenspace and a huge playground. This space is home to many events throughout the year, including the Spring and Fall Festivals. Turtleback Park, Dinosaur Egg Park, Abbott Square are all unique and whimsical parks for gatherings. For our furry friends, Mt Laurel’s private Dog Park offers a spacious fenced area for dogs to play a game of fetch and socialize.

Just a short walk away from Olmsted Park & Playground and the basketball courts, sits the perfect place to cool off on a hot summer day, the community pool. A perfect summer spot for families, the community pool offers plentiful seating, a kiddie pool, and restrooms.

Community Garden

The new Community Garden was built in celebration of the 2016 Southern Living Idea House and designed by the same Landscape Architect and Mt Laurel resident, David N. Brush. Featuring a quaint Garden Shed, raised beds, and a flagstone path, the Community Garden has a lovely aesthetic. Residents and the Mt Laurel Garden Group work together to grow beautiful native plants and fresh produce throughout the year.
