Summer

Farmers' Market and Craft Fair

Every Saturday morning in the summer, neighbors meet at the Farmers' Market and Craft Fair to find small treasures. From organic fruits and vegetables to baked goods, crafts and one-of-a-kind works of art, you're sure to find something you can't leave without. Take the kids along for a cup of fresh-squeezed lemonade, then peruse the jars of fresh-from-the-hive honey. The market opens at 8 a.m. and lasts until noon. Furry friends are welcome. There is no charge to be a vendor. Contact the Sales Office for more information.

July 4th Parade

Mt Laurel's July 4th Parade features patriotism and fireworks. The weekend begins with a parade of golf carts and bicycles adorned with red, white and blue trimmings. Uncle Sam winds his bike from Olmsted Park around the neighborhood and back to the beginning. Join him in the park for cold slices of watermelon and cupcakes.

The next destination is Spoonwood Lake after sundown for fireworks. The lake provides an ideal place to gather with friends and family on blankets to watch the fireworks, rounding out the day's festivities.

Fall

Mt Laurel Harvest Festival

Celebrate fall's arrival at the Mt Laurel Harvest Festival. Live music provides a background to myriad activities that are sure to please the whole family -- kids and parents alike.

In the inflatable playground, kids can bounce off the walls, literally. Bring the whole family for a hayride around the town. After the kids get tired from jumping around, they can sit and rest while sipping fresh-squeezed lemonade or slurping a colorful snow cone.

Meanwhile, artisan craft tables overflowing with homemade pieces line Main Street and a section of Olmsted Street for parents to browse. For edible items, parents are welcome to peruse the farmer's market or any of the delicious Mt Laurel restaurants. All of the Mt Laurel restaurants and shops are open during the festival.

Festival-goers are welcome to take a tour of Mt Laurel homes, sponsored by the Birmingham Realtors Association.

There are also activities adults and kids can do together at the festival, such as hayrides and pumpkin carving. The event is free and open to the public.

Mt Laurel's Annual Old-Fashioned Halloween Carnival

The Mt Laurel Annual Old-Fashioned Halloween Carnival presents a great opportunity for kids and adults to dress in fun costumes, play games and enjoy goodies. The festivities begin at Abbott Square Park in the early evening and include arts and crafts and face painting. Characters such as Elmo, Cinderella's fairy godmother and a Woodland elf have been known to make appearances.

Once the sun begins to set, the evening concludes with Halloween-themed movies such as "Charlie Brown's Great Pumpkin."

Winter

Christmas in the Square

Every other year, The Mt Laurel town square transforms into a Victorian-era village straight out of A Christmas Carol. Volunteers from Double Oak Community Church dress up in Victorian costumes and join the other guests in singing Christmas carols. Horse-drawn carriages further evoke the period as well as provide an entertaining activity.

In between carriage rides and caroling, munch on seasonal goodies or have your picture drawn. Christmas in the Square is hosted by Double Oak Community Church and is totally free, including cookbooks and samples of the recipes featured.

Community Garage Sale

Twice a year, in the spring and fall, Mt Laurel residents collect their unneeded treasures and display them in their garages to sell in the Mt Laurel communitywide yard sale. Shoppers can park their cars and walk the alley ways to find all sorts of items for sale at bargain prices! Each season an average of 30 families participate.
